The governors meet every term and the minutes of these meetings are available in school. Each governor serves on one or more of the following committees: Finance, Health and Safety, Premises, Curriculum & School Development and Staffing, all of which meet frequently. The governors also attend training courses to keep up to date with educational changes and to help the school run smoothly. They are available to discuss any aspect of school life.
Parent Governors are elected every 4 years. When a vacancy becomes available any parent with a child at Thropton School is eligible to stand for election and if you require further information about what this involves, please contact any of the existing Parent Governors through the school office.
